Its worth just mentioning the login process in passing.
When you register or buy from us, the system creates a personal record for you in our database. This is used to allow us and you to keep track of orders, maintain a wish list and access the growing range of aditional services we offer.
Once in a while we get a call asking for help with the login and it usually comes down to one of two problems:
- The user has simply forgotten their password.
- The password was entered in uppercase (Capital) characters and the user is trying to login using lower case or vice versa. So a quick check on the state of the CAPS lock key will generally confirm one way or the other. If you are fairly certain you have the right password, try swapping the CAPS lock state on your keyboard and try again.
To deal with the first problem, simply use the 'Forgotten Password' link provided on the login screen. All that happens is you fill in your registered email address, click the 'send' button and you will be mailed a new password immediately (depending on your service provider you may receive it instantly or it may take a few minutes to get to you).
Once you get your new password (which will be a 10 digit number) you can login and then change it to whatever suits you.
Why can't we just send you your original we hear you ask! - Well, its a security feature. All passwords are one-way encrypted so only you know yours (we have no way of finding out what it is). NB: Occasionally, depending on your email set-up, email from us (and other sites) can get bounced as Spam (we don't spam). If your new password does not turn up, this may be the reason and if it happens, simply make sure we are added to your 'Safe Senders' list and request a new password. Ant problems, just let us know.
